I am not going to explain what is already said in the synopsis so on with the review. Slice of life in which Oreki Houtarou slowly forms bonds with those in the Classics Club. Well, Hyouka is nothing more than a happy Some may not believe me but it is actually way better than having a "colorful" life, that is, if you don't have anyone to share your colors with. Is there anything wrong with living a "colorless" life? No. He doesn't see much value in expending energy which could otherwise be used more wisely, like studying or reading or sleeping. That is the way Oreki Houtarou views the world and how he lives. What on earth is worth living to your utmost ability? Hell if I know. If we could nominate characters to be a main character. Especially when he's paired up with his energetic best friend. Our very plain looking main character would do really well as a SMT Persona main character.

The girl that would ruin Oreki of his plain grey life causing him to use energy in his day to day life. Though everything starts to change when he meets Chitanda Eru, The girl who is curious. A student not looking forward to the joys of a "rose" coloured highschool life and rather wants to have a plain "grey" one. Don't do anything I don't have to, Do whatever I have to do quickly. Oreki Houtaro a first year in highschool an energy saving student but not the type you might think but rather the motto written above. The most enjoyable thing about this show is the development of our main characters. Mystery is only the second most enjoyable thing about this show. Harem after harem, Then there's this Hyouka a Mystery slice of life. This is probably the first mystery genre anime I have watched but that's not the reason I gave it my ten.Īfter the countless number of School Life based animes that I have watched and those that have gone by unnoticed.
